Before you begin
A few common questions.
Is this for someone who has never grown grapes?
Yes. The book begins with site selection and the first years of vine growth, then carries those decisions through to home winemaking. You can begin with a small planting and develop your skills gradually.
Will every hybrid grow where I live?
No. Choose varieties for your actual climate, growing season, disease pressure and intended use. Local Extension advice and experienced regional growers can help you narrow the choice.
Can I use the tools without buying the book?
Yes. The calculators, guides, seasonal planner and journal are freely available. No account is required.
What will I receive?
The complete 600-page book plus its cover in one PDF (601 PDF pages), approximately 61 MB. This is a digital edition for personal use. A PDF reader is needed; most computers, tablets and phones include one.
